    SXSW Interactive staffers were incredulous to learn that a longtime member of our community and 2012 opening keynote speaker, Baratunde Thurston has announced that he is moving on from his role at The Onion. In his own words, Thurston said, "Today, with a deep sense of nostalgia, I'm excited to move to the next chapter of that insane life having stepped down as Director of Digital to pursue more entrepreneurial ventures."
